I am a “Yorkshire lass”, born and bred and spent the first 25 years of my life living in a beautiful village on the edge of the North York Moors National Park.

After marrying, I moved across to the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and have lived and worked here ever since, enjoying the best of both worlds.

I have always had a keen interest in history and the countryside around me and have been able to indulge both passions by volunteering in our local Tourist Information Centre in the past and by studying on several history and archaeology courses, and I also walk regularly in both National Park areas so am well-acquainted with all the joys each has to offer, from stunning scenery, to glorious ruined castles and abbeys.

Added to this, I enjoy sharing the delights of some of our local towns, each of them with their own particular history and character, and each of them having something different to offer the visitor.
