I am a qualified blue badge tour guide for Yorkshire where I create bespoke tours for groups and individuals. I also create indoor and outdoor specialist events in Yorkshire.
I have spent 15 years putting together tours and events in the UK and Europe, but Yorkshire is my home and the county I most want to share with everyone!
There is so much to do and see here and I look forward to taking you through our breathtaking countryside, stately homes, Abbeys, villages and gardens, indulging with you in my passion for food at our country pubs or gourmet restaurants, enjoying the delights of shopping in our spa town of Harrogate (the Kensington of the North), the metropolis of Leeds or exploring our ancient city of York with the towering York Minster at it’s heart. My favourite seaside town of Scarborough on our heritage coastline and a trip to Whitby for fish and chips are all on the list to be visited with you!
I also have many years experience in putting together singing and musical tours, my last group in Yorkshire sang in 12 different venues including 2 world heritage sites during their four day stay.
Food and shopping are two definite passions of mine so I am well placed to lead your tours in these departments! However, I was born and raised in the countryside so my love of the moors and the dales with their clear air and breathtaking views is rooted in my blood so bring your wellies and let’s explore! I have two areas of outstanding natural beauty not far from my home, The Howardian Hills and Nidderdale.
Two world heritage sites and one of the most famous stately homes in the world, Castle Howard are also on my doorstep, so we can explore our wealth of heritage sites together.
Travelling further afield to East, West and South Yorkshire and we can see an industrial heritage, follow some TV and film trails and visit the magnificent Humber Bridge.
